Nunya Farms signs MoU with Avnash Industries Ghana Ltd.

Nunya Farms and Avnash Industries Ghana Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 21, 2016 to kickstart cooperation in the production and supply of food crops.  Nunya Farms will produce and supply to Avnash a number of key crops including groundnuts (peanuts), soyabean, rice, and crude oil palm (CPO).

Avnash is a leading agro-processing company for edible oil, rice, soaps and detergents, shea butter, and other agricultural and food raw materials, with over 45 years of experience in West Africa, Europe, USA and India. Avnash’s rice mill in Tamale (in the Northern region of Ghana) has the capacity of 500 MT per day, making it the largest rice mill in Africa.

The collaboration and cooperation between Nunya Farms and Avnash include full off-take of Nunya Farms’s harvest of peanuts, soyabean, oil palm, rice and other crops by Avnash, cultivation of extensive farmlands by Nunya to meet the demand, and sharing of knowledge and expertise relating to the agribusiness sector in West Africa.

The Nunya Farms and Avnash Industries collaboration will make it one of the single largest agribusiness/agroprocessing partnerships in Africa.
